Zheng Dao Lo Martial Arts Academy invites you to a night filled of fun and laughter at our annual awards ceremony to recognise and reward students for their hard work and dedication shown throughout the year. The event centres around the presentation of elegant glass awards, embossed with the school emblem. Each of the instructors will nominate three of their students for each of the categories and the winners will be announced on the night. There are also junior awards to promote the development of young aspiring martial artists. The categories are;
- Dedication and Loyalty
- Outstanding personal achievement
- Overall Ability and Excellence
The evening includes:
- Awards presentation
- Stage hypnotist – Mr Paul Dawkins
- Stand-up comedian – Mr Drew Cameron (Britain's got talent)
- Professional DJ – Mr Ed Craig (Wideboyz)
- Close up magician – Mr Kevin Dawkins
- Hand prepared buffet by a top chef
- Bar – open until 12.30am

- Time: 7pm - late (The evening will start at 7pm promptly)
- Location: The Royal Maritime Club LTD, Queen Street, Portsmouth, Hants, PO1 3HS
- Cost: Adults £30, Kids £20 (kids under 5 go free)
This is a formal event; therefore only smart attire may be worn (suit with tie for men, evening dress for ladies). Strictly no jeans or trainers.
All students' friends and families (including children) are welcome and should be prompted to attend and celebrate the achievements within this academy. Please show your support by inviting friends and family (including children) to this prestigious event.

- The comedian may use explicit language (parental discretion strongly advised). The comedian commences at 10pm.

Taolu / Tuishou Open Seminar
Hosted by Kevin Stanworth (a co-founder of ZDL) this course focuses on the internal aspect of tai chi and application theory. It will improve students’ sensitivity and understanding of fundamental principles.
The course will cover:
- Basic concentration exercises
- Approaching energy from a different view
- Yin / yang theory and usage
- Applied relaxation
- Sensitivity development
- Partner skills
- Application of form
NB. Some basic Taiji knowledge is required
